Frame materials

The frames are Japanese and made from beech wood, a strong, fine textured wood. The wood is sourced from sustainable forests. The finish is rosewood stained with a gold foil added to the inner edge, then hand finished to give a classic but distinquished look to match the vintage era reprint cards mounted inside them.  Each frame comes in its own protective cardboard box and is complete with frame cord in cotton also included. All frames use 2 pieces of acryllic glass except the largest size frames that use glass to hold the cards in place.

Please note that frame sizes refer to the inner mat size and not the wood frame itself which is 25mm wide. "By order mats" to fit irregular size cards can be made if required at an additional cost depending on the complexity. Please enquire for details.

Made in Japan

All frames are sourced from sustainable beech wood sources, with a rosewood stain and gold leaf inner edge and made in Japan to exact standards. Wood used may be subject to change without notice on occasion according to supply conditions.

Handmade

Each frame when completed is the culmination of a long set of processes before it is sent to its final destination. The frame, the mount and the cards are all laboriously checked for quality before being combined for final delivery to the client.
